Crocodile Encounter has been offering, with tremendous demand, the opportunity for families to come to our  facility and experience a one on one guided tour of our crocodiles and other reptile species. Family days originated based on the number of calls we received asking if it was possible for past visitors who came with a group and enjoyed the visit to bring their children for a visit with the crocs. As we are not yet open to the public as a day park we decided to offer family tours by appointment. This has proved to be extremely popular and has turned into one of our most enjoyable activities. Here is how it works:

1. Call or email(preferred) and set up your time to visit Crocodile Encounter. Please be mindful that when you book we will turn others away as we limit tour space. Be respectful of our schedule if the need arises to cancel by giving us 24 hr notice. **Important** Please call or email to set up your tour. Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your tours start time. Tours start promptly at the scheduled time.

2. You may pay at the conclusion of your tour via cash, check, or credit card.

3. You may bring bananas, romaine lettuce, or other green vegetables for your tortoise feeding experience.

4. Upon arrival to the facility you will be greeted by your guide, you will enter the entry building for a brief talk about the facility in general and will begin your interactive animal experience with some of Crocodile Encounter's unique history.

5. Your first stop is our tortoise nursery where you will see the world's largest tortoise species the Aldabra tortoise.

6. Then it's on to meet the heart of Crocodile Encounter- Sultan and his alligator brethren. The large Texan predators are as fascinating as they are fearsome.

7. From big gators to big tortoises you now enter the tortoise zone where you will interact and feed our herd of giant tortoises. Great photos and often the highlight of the visit for many people.

8. On your way from the tortoises you will pass through our aquatic turtle area and young crocodilian nursery before emerging in front of the giant Nile crocodile enclosure called the 'Croc Splash zone'. The feeding display here is often incredible as the big reptiles come to you to get a meal.

9. After that it's on to Ajax and Dawn to meet two very special Nile crocodiles from Madagascar . Watching these big animals eat is an awesome spectacle.

10. Get ready to meet Pumba and Emilie- Our warthogs! Worth the visit all by themselves.

11. If warthogs aren't enough here come our antelope Optimus, Princess, and Dolly our African eland. Eland are the world's largest antelope and extremely graceful and beautiful animals to observe. In this area are also our crowd pleasing pot bellied pigs. Kids love to feed them and of course they love to be fed!

Daily tours( We book a maximum of 4-5 families per tour)- Reservations are required

Tour departs once all parties have arrived or the designated tour time arrives
